In Foundation Koalas, we have been working to develop an understanding of the language and processes of counting by naming numbers in sequences. We have been creating sets of numbers using everyday objects, creating number lines and learning through songs and stories.

We have been getting to know one another, setting goals to work on, and have been thinking about how we can take care of ourselves and others.

The Foundation students have been working hard on their letter sounds and letter names, which they demonstrated by creating individual name rockets, shapes with play-doh, and purposeful play experiences. The children are also continually working on identifying problems and solutions in stories, such as discussing ways that people can help their worries.
