Our Year 2 students recently took the stage for an unforgettable concert themed "Hawaiian Beach Party." The event was a vibrant showcase of music and joy, capturing the essence of a tropical paradise.
The show opened with all Year 2 classes performing "Wipe Out," setting a lively and festive tone.
The delightful sequence of musical numbers that followed included:
"Count On Me" by Year 2 Platypus: A heartwarming rendition that emphasized friendship and togetherness.
"Lovely Hula Hands" by Year 2 Quokkas: A graceful performance that transported the audience to the sandy shores of Hawaii.
"What a Wonderful World" by Year 2 Bettongs: A beautiful and soulful expression of gratitude for the world around us.
"White Sandy Beach" by Year 2 Kangaroos: A serene and calming piece that perfectly captured the beach's tranquility.
"My Little Grass Shack In Kealakakua, Hawai’i" by Year 2 Platypus and Year 2 Bettongs: A delightful, fun-filled number that had everyone swaying along.
"Over the Rainbow" by Year 2 Quokkas and Year 2 Kangaroos: A magical performance that brought dreams and wonder to the stage.
Throughout the event, our Head of Primary, Ms. Laura, who hails from Hawaii, shared fascinating Hawaiian fun facts, adding an educational touch to the celebration. Her knowledge and passion for Hawaii enriched the experience for everyone.
The concert concluded with a spirited "Hawaiian Beach Party Finale" by all Year 2 classes, bringing everyone together for a grand and joyous ending 🎉
We also extend our deepest gratitude to all the staff and parents who volunteered their time and energy to make this event possible. Your support and enthusiasm were vital to its success. 🙏
We believe that every child is precious, and moments like these highlight the joy and creativity in each of our students. The phrase "Mahalo for your kōkua!" captures our gratitude for the support and love that make these cherished memories possible.
It was truly a day to remember, filled with music, laughter, and the spirit of aloha! 🌺🌴
