Written by Andre Du Toit, Head of Sports
We are delighted to share the news of the recent friendly matches that brought together our talented U11 and U15 basketball and football teams from AISB and Norwich.
On 13th May, the sportsmanship and skills of our young athletes took center stage at AISB, creating a memorable event. These friendly fixtures provided a fantastic platform for our students to showcase their basketball and football prowess. With an emphasis on teamwork, determination, and fair play, the atmosphere was one of camaraderie and healthy competition, truly encapsulating the spirit of sportsmanship.
It's worth noting that the primary focus of these friendly matches was on participation and skill development, rather than maintaining a formal score record. Our aim was to cultivate an enjoyable experience for all, allowing players to learn and grow through friendly competition.
Our U11 and U15 teams exhibited exceptional dedication and sportsmanship throughout the matches. Their enthusiasm and commitment were truly commendable, reflecting the values we strive to instill in our students.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Norwich team for joining us in this event. The friendly fixtures not only provided an opportunity for sporting exchange but also fostered cultural understanding, friendship, and mutual respect among our student-athletes.
AISB remains steadfast in our commitment to offering a well-rounded education that encompasses physical development and teamwork skills through sports. These friendly matches epitomize our dedication to nurturing the whole student.
We are immensely proud of all the students who participated in the U11 and U15 basketball and football-friendly fixtures. Their outstanding performances, coupled with their positive attitudes, exemplify the values that lie at the core of our institution.
Congratulations to all the participants, and we eagerly anticipate the excitement of future sporting events!
