In this hands-on session, you’ll explore different genres of poetry and how to engage students in discovering their own poetic voices. This workshop will provide practical tools to bring poetry into your classroom in exciting and innovative ways.

About the Speaker
Meet John Chambers (AKA Just John the Younger)
John Chambers, originally from New Zealand, wrote his first poem at the age of 11. Over the years, his love for poetry grew, writing sporadically during childhood and continuing into adulthood. His experiences as both a poet and an educator have shaped his unique approach to teaching and performing poetry.
Now a teacher at Australian International School Bangkok, John has recently found success in the Poetry Slam scene. In April 2024, he won his first Poetry Slam in Bangkok, where his captivating performances resonated with audiences.
