Mr Henri opened the ceremony with a meaningful message, reflecting on how leadership within AISB is built not on authority but on service, empathy, and shared responsibility. He spoke about the Student Council as more than just a group of elected representatives, it is a platform for students to find their voice, embrace responsibility, and shape the future of their school community.

The School Choir then delivered a stirring performance of Child of Tomorrow, led by Mr Tom Solon. The performance captured the spirit of hope and leadership that defined the day.

Voices of Leadership and Gratitude

Newly appointed captains, Mari Wangsai and Siah Yoo, delivered heartfelt speeches, expressing gratitude for the trust placed in them and their shared vision of service and teamwork. Representing their councils, Roman and Thiengtrong (Ryu) thanked those who supported their leadership journey, including teachers, coordinators, and fellow students.

Their words echoed the school’s belief that true leadership is not about titles but about inspiring others and making a meaningful impact.

A Musical Finale and Words of Thanks

To close the ceremony, Yui from Year 9 performed Summer by Jo Hisaishi, filling the auditorium with a beautiful melody that captured the pride and emotion of the occasion.

Ms Hannah then expressed sincere thanks to all who made the event possible — the students for their dedication, the parents for their support, and the staff for their guidance.

The Investiture Ceremony was a powerful reminder of AISB’s commitment to nurturing leadership that is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and community. These young leaders now step forward not just as representatives of their peers, but as future changemakers, ready to embody the school’s motto:
